Allah is working His greatness on my husband! Allahu Akbar!
It seems that the goodness of the Islam faith is beginning to penetrate the many layers of my husbands once not so halal life. I have seen the somewhat irritating, self-centered nature slowly melt away.
I've decided by trying to live as an example, instead of nagging him to hatred, I could get through to his inner soul much better. Also, making dua has really helped. I think, perhaps, helped me in keeping from pulling my hair out strand by strand.
Last night, to my amazement, he read more about how to be a good Muslim. Today, he really tried his best to put being a good Muslim into action.I bet you are wondering how,uh? Well, he didn't sneak down to the corner store to get his weekly can of beer and 2 cigarettes, nor did he slip to play that CASH 3 game. This may not be much to you, but that was a great feat for him, and quite a big step from my point of view.
I know that we all have our imperfections or some monkey on our back. Mine is saying the sh--t word. I have prayed, made dua, and still it slips out! Maybe washing my mouth with soap would help. Gotta suggestion?
Anyway, we are still praising Allah, and we are still trying hard to live the way Allah wants us to live
